Many moons ago, we stumbled upon a classic art deco tea pot in a curious little shop called the Saturday Market in Dixon, Montana.
The color matched our retro lime green kitchen perfectly and it was a bargain, so we bought it. Not until our collector friend noticed, did we realize it was an original Bauer aladdin tea pot (despite the fact that it was clearly marked on the bottom).
Recently, the work of J.A. Bauer was reintroduced by a ceramics studio in Los Angeles, located just minutes from the original plant. For good reason, we are excited to offer the new Bauer line — Bauer 2000 in an array of brightly colored dog bowls.
Fido may not have a penchant for collectibles, like we humans, but he will appreciate the sturdy design and the boldly emblazoned "DOG".
Who knows...maybe one day the old dog bowl will be removed from the floor and displayed along with the classic aladdin teapot.
