Rope-n-Go : How to Use the Hardware-Free Pet Harness

SIZING
The ROPE-N-GO™ is unique in that it provides a perfect fit for a wide variety of animals and sizes.

The Extra Small Toy harness is made of a smaller diameter rope and is specially designed to fit delicate toy breeds and other small critters with up to a 16" girth. The Small harness will fit slightly larger animals with a girth size of 10”-22”, and the Medium/Large harness a 22”-36” girth. By girth, we mean the total circumference directly behind the animal’s front legs.

The ROPE-N-GO™ harness includes an accompanying leash which can be easily removed and substituted with your own walking leash. We prefer a shorter leash for our dogs, so they remain manageable at all times. Most state parks restrict leash lengths to 6'.

HOW TO USE

Putting a ROPE-N-GO™ on your pet is as simple as putting on a t-shirt. Like a t-shirt, the harness consists of a neck opening and two arm openings for your pet's legs. It's all just a matter of holding the harness with the correct side up before putting it on (see Step 1).

NOTE: The ROPE-N-GO™ is intended solely as a walking harness for your pet. Please be sensible and use wise judgement at all times. It should not be used as a car seat restraint for your pet. Never leave pet unattended with harness on, regardless of whether the leash is attached or not. Do not use as a tie out.

Step 1: Before placing harness over pet's head you may need to slide the ROPE-N-GO™ sleeve down, making the neck opening larger.

Step 2: Place neck opening over pet's head.

Step 3: Lift pet's leg up and through leg opening of harness. Repeat with opposite leg and opening.

Step 4: Begin to tighten girth of harness by A.) Holding the large knot with one hand, and B.) Pull the leash upwards with other hand.
Note: You may need to proceed to Step 5 before tightening the girth all the way.

Step 5: Make final adjustments by A.) Sliding the ROPE-N-GO™ sleeve up or down (see Step 1), so it hits below the breastbone and will not cause the pet to hack while walking. B.) Loosen overhand knots and move up or down, being certain they are even on both sides.
Note: When girth is fully tightened the knots will be flush with the large knot. The girth should fit snug, but not overly.

TO REMOVE (Method 1)
A.) Grab both sides of the girth and pull down all the way, or until leg openings are large enough to remove legs comfortably. B.) Gently pick up leg and remove from opening. Repeat with other leg.

TO REMOVE (Method 2) A.) Loosen girth as in previous step. B.) Once your pet becomes accustomed to it, you may be able to remove the harness by slipping it over its head.

TO REMOVE LEASH
Pull loop at end of leash through loop on end of harness and slide leash off. Attach by reversing procedure.

Every ROPE-N-GO™ harness is individually hand-tied by a small bunch of folks who love dogs. They understand that the comfort and safety of your pet comes first and foremost. No harness leaves our door without prior inspection and approval. We guarantee workmanship of the ROPE-N-GO™ for a period of 60 days from the time of purchase.

Guarantee does not include normal wear and tear of harness (see below *), abuse caused by chewing pet or otherwise, nor modifications by customer other than normal adjustment of harness for use.

Returns for any other reason must be done within 30 days of receipt. Please contact us beforehand.

• Harness is designed for walking only.
• Do not tie pet or leave unattended with harness on.
• Do not use as a seat belt restraint while traveling with dog.

*To extend the life of your Rope-N-Go™ please do the following:

• Hand wash only. Washing machines are ruthless with the rope and sleeve.

• If your harness will receive somewhat rugged treatment, wrap black electrical tape to the top and bottom of the chest sleeve prior to use. This is a preventative measure in case your dog catches the sleeve on something, thus causing it to tear. We have not experienced this problem with normal daily walking.
